The world became a little less bright on July 9, 2025, with the passing of Wilibordo “Willie” Herminigildo Ventura in Escondido, California. Born on November 7, 1953 in San Vicente, Pampanga in the Philippines, Willie’s infectious laughter and unending humour brought joy to many around him.

Willie was a proud father to Princess and Don, committed brother to Bart and Auring, and a loyal friend to many. Family and friends have many unforgettable memories to cherish of Willie that include fits of laughter, moments of connection and shared tears, and his unconditional love and soft heart.

Willie is survived by his ex-wife Marie; his children Princess and Don; his son-in law and daughter-in law IC and Grace; his beautiful granddaughters Chloe and Noelle; brother and sister Bart and Auring; and his nephews and nieces Paul, Jaja, Mark, Jojo and Anne and their spouses and children. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Paula.

Willie is deeply loved and sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army Escondido Residences in Willie Ventura’s memory.
