Bill was born to Fred and Martha Wing on September 21, 1944 in Kansas City and was a very proud KU fan. He would always say "Kansan by birth, Jayhawk by the grace of God" 

Bill also enjoyed Chiefs football, fishing, and piddling. Bill was predeceased by his parents and brother Rick (Catfish)Wing. He is survived by his spouse Sylvia Thoman, his siblings Judy and Bill Arbuckle, Carol Conway, and Barbara Baker. His children Deve and Donnie Thompson, her son Dylan, and grandaugter Tegan; daughter Kimberly and Ricardo Galvan and her children Ashleigh, Amanda, Wyatt, and Ayden; son Chris Wing and his children Caitlin and Christin (Beth); Sylvia's son Sean and Karen Thoman and their children Taylor and Seth. 

Bill was a proud Army veteran Staff Sergent E-6 serving in the Vietnam War for two tours 1965 -1971. 

Memorial services will be held in the spring at Wyandotte County Lake by the water where Bill loved to be the most.
