Kathy,
I’m sorry for your lose. I worked with Bert from 1985 until he retired.
Following that, we (friends & co-workers) always looked forward to his get-togethers at Napoli’s Pizzeria in Sandy Springs (Hammond Dr.)
For those who happened to have had the opportunity to work under his wing, how
can we ever forget his “Bert-grams.” Those short little notes that always helped us get a solution to a technical predicament.
Bert a true gentleman… God bless him.

Tom Hering: I started working with Bert in 1960 in Chicago and continued when we moved to Atlanta. We enjoyed: working, playing chess, fishing, many pizza lunches and dinners.
He was my friend and will be missed. I will see him again in Heaven.

So sad to learn of his passing. May the comfort of our Lord be yours especially now. I remember my “Uncle Bert” as the kindest of men. Although we didn’t see each often he was always genuinely glad to see me and hear about what was new in my life; gracious, generous, curious, and optimistic is how I remember him.

Bert was A very close friend of mine, enjoying over fifty years of friendship, especially in later years. On Sundays after church services he would stop by my place for coffee, watch A ball game and then we would go out for lunch. I will miss him. Knowing he is in Gods hands makes his passing easer for me.
