Westley Richard Jones, Sr., 79, of Dublin, MD, rode quietly into the sunset on December 27, 2020. He was proceeded in death by his beloved wife Kay, his parents, Ethel and Frank Jones Sr, and his dear sister-in-law Marie (Mutzie).

Wes is survived by his children, Skip and wife Angee, Tammi, and Danny; his brothers, Frank (Nip), Dave and wife Darlene, Don and wife Liz, Mike and wife Lori, several Nieces and Nephews. He was the beloved Poppy to grandchildren Brittany Jones, Sadie Eser and husband Matt, Connor Davis and Alex Jones, along with his great grandchildren, Christian, Sage, Asa, Westley and Faith Eser.

Wes was born in Baltimore MD, and graduated from Parkville High School in 1959. He spent many years working with the Port of Baltimore as an AVP of Finance for I.T.O. Corporation. He was a very talented carpenter and crafty woodworker; sharing this talent with many family and friends. He enjoyed the theater, the BSO, and his love of music led him to bless us with the sweet sound of his trumpet throughout his life. He was a member of the Harford County Community band for many years, and he thoroughly enjoyed playing his flugelhorn for a recording of "I Remember Mom" with Tim Landers.

In retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, working on his model train layout and relaxing with a good book or John Wayne movie.

Anyone who was blessed to know him, knew him to be a man with the biggest heart, who loved a great laugh and a good story. Wes, Dad, Watty, Poppy; will forever have a place in our hearts and be deeply missed as our memories of him live on.

Wes was a proud member of the the V.F.W. Post 10146 in Dublin MD. The VFW was dear to him and he cherished his time spent there and the friendships he developed over the past 8 years after the loss of his beloved wife Kay. A Private Celebration of life is being held Friday April 23, 2021. Interment will be on Saturday, April 24, 2021 12:00, at Union Cemetery (Weatherly, PA).
