Wendy's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Wendy Douglass Rand, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Wendy was born on July 17, 1956, and sadly passed away on January 3, 2024. She was a woman of wit, sassiness, stubbornness, and love with an adventurous spirit.

Wendy was predeceased by her loving mother, Carolyn Fernald, and her dear sister, Susan Leonard. Among those mourning her loss are her children, Michelle and Mathew Rand, her brother, Skip Douglass, and her sister, Jackie Morgan. Wendy also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Cheryl Douglass, and her step-father, Maurice Fernald.

Wendy's light continues to live on through her grandchildren; Alannis and Jade Minnerly, Austin, Lincoln, Bentley, Norway, and River Rand, and Madilyn and Madison Helton. Each one held a special place in Wendy's heart.

One of Wendy's greatest achievements and sources of pride was her family. She cherished the relationships she had with her children and grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Wendy was a woman of many passions. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time at the beach, cooking, and spending quality time with her dog, Lacey. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her family and friends, who will miss her dearly.

We will always remember Wendy as a woman of strength and resilience. She had a profound impact on all who knew her, and she will forever be remembered for her love, humor, and sass.

Thank you all for your condolences. Services will be held at a later date.
