Background
My Mother suffered from Dementia, she went through the stages very fast. My younger half sister is 16 years younger and she suffers from Cerebral Palsy and has the mind of a 10 year old, I care for her now. I myself have Heart Disease, Graves Disease, Neurapathy, and Arthritis. We cared for her and Kept her from going to a Nursing Home ( she refused to go to one) at home. We had a hospital bed and table set up for her in the living room. My sister did ALL the physical work. Changing Mom, turning her in the bed, kept up with Tons of laundry because she had a LOT of accidents as she was bleeding internally from an Ulcer we were unaware of. We finally called 911 one day when she fell while my sister was changing her and cleaning her up. We both tried for about a half hour to get her back up and in her bed, she kept falling in the mess in the bed and it was Horrible! She was full of it from head to toe! The ambulance took her to hospital. The doctor then informed us she lost too much blood and needed a transfusion to live. Moms wishes included NO ONE ELSES BLOOD IN HER. So I had to follow those wishes. She lasted about 4 days after, then she passed away peacefully in her sleep. We are both on Social Security and don't make much. We have to get the house Mom left us into order so we can sell it to get a home with cheaper heating bills. The house is ALL electric. We NEED to change out the furnace or sell the house. It is in Need of some repairs before we could sell it if we decide to.
