Wendell's obituary
His funeral service will be Friday, August 18, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Etowah Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Bro. Bill Lackey and Bro. Kody James will officiate. Music will be provided by Donna Rains. Casket bearers will be Buddy James, Tracey Wilder, Jeff Salers, Kevin Hamby, Scott Timmons, and Robbie Hubbard. Honorary casket bearers will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2017 from 2 until 4.
He is survived by his wife, Mary James, children, Casina Hubbard (Eric), Alan James, Kevin James and Mandy K. James Batey (Lynn), step children, Karla Hamby (Kevin) and Jason Wordlaw, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, brothers, Truman and Mackie James, sister, Jacquelyn Wade.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Louisa James, sisters, Mary Helen Pence and Shirley Ann Wilder, and brother, Kenneth James.
