I just came across this page.  It breaks my heart to see that Wendell has passed. Wendell was such a mentor for me. Growing up with him by my side while I was a teenager put so many amazing attributes into who I am today. 

I met Wendell and Alleta through flying RC Airplanes. Wendell was one of the smartest people I have ever met. His ability to take nothing and turn it into a crafted object always amazed me.  Traveling all over the US with Wendell and Alleta to various RC contests still holds some of the best memories I have. 

Unfortunately life got in the way and I lost touch. I wish I could fly up and take you in my plane Wendell. Every time I fly over Swansborrow airport I look down and think of you. 

The two of us made a great team and we won so many RC airplane competitions because of Wendell’s ability to design a Sukhoi 26mx aerobatic airplane that was so ahead of everyone else’s building skills. He knew how to push the limits of these planes.

Wendell, I hope you always have smooth sky’s and tailwinds. I will always miss you.
