Wayne's obituary

Wayne Gorden Pitschka went to be with the Lord on August 21st in Robbinsdale, MN at the age of 83, surrounded by his family listening to Caribbean music.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Gloria; children, Paul (Karen) Pitschka, Perry Pitschka, John Pitschka, and Maryann (Jeff) Thomas; brother, Gary (Bunny) Pitschka of Rosemont; grandchildren: Valerie, Jennifer (Thomas), Annie, P.J. (Maggie), Mareasa (Ben), Max, and Samantha; and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Tille Pitschka.

Wayne was born on April 16th, 1937 in Sartell, MN to George and Tille Pitschka. He married Gloria, his high school sweetheart, on November 22, 1958. The two were inseparable since the day they met. Together they moved to Brooklyn Center, building a home, raising a family, and serving the Lord. Wayne worked for Electric Machinery for over 20 years. He spent the next four decades working as a realtor and broker, alongside his loving wife. Wayne was someone who lived life to the fullest and enjoyed sharing his passions with others. He was a family man who cherished every moment together. Affectionately known as "Grandfather Wayne", he was extremely proud of his family, and never missed an opportunity to attend a ball game, concert, or anything that was important to them.

Wayne was an "idea man", known for his creative solutions and the first call for help on any project. His passions were many: cruising, wine making, photography, stained glass, the Polo store, remodeling and auctions. He was a dedicated member and fervent supporter of Peace Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale for 75 years where he completed many, many projects to enhance the facility, worship, and parish life of his church family.

A celebration of life is being held Friday, August 28th at 1pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. Please wear masks and practice social distancing. Kindly RSVP by Thursday at noon to ensure adequate seating.
