Wayne worked for the State Of Arkansas Correctional Facility for the past 3 years. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1993.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother (Birtha Powell) Bertha Powell-Washington, brother: Charlie Chaffia Jr., grandfather George Powell Jr. and grandmothers Agnes Hudson and Arneste (Arnetsia) Williams, great grandmother: Eva Williams (Evie Brown), great grandfather: Jettie Williams, great-uncle: Freddie J. Williams, great-uncle: (Lorenzo Williams) Leorenzo Williams, great-uncle: Oscar Williams, uncle: Robert L. Powell, uncle: Leroy Powell, uncle:(Lorenzo Powell) Leorenzo Powell, uncle: Darril Hampton Sr., uncle: Don Neal Powell aunt: Jearl D. Powell, cousin: Paulette Powell and husband of aunt: Perry Smith Sr., husband of aunt: Henderson Thomas.

Wayne is survived by his father, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 children, 2 grandchildren and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.
