In Loving Memory of Wayne Joseph Sinkie July 23, 1953 - September 9, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of a beloved father, grandfather, son, and friend, Wayne Sinkie, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on September 9, 2023. His sudden departure has left a void in our lives that can never be filled.
Born on July 23, 1953 in Mitchell, SD, Wayne lived a life marked by an unwavering passion for family and a genuine love for helping others. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand, making a positive impact on countless lives.
Wayne moved to Minnesota in 1978, where he married Sandra (Roberts) and raised their two daughters. He cherished his role as a father and a grandfather above all else. He took immense pride in watching his children grow into the amazing individuals they are today and found immeasurable joy in being a doting grandparent.
One of Wayne's greatest passions was riding motorcycles. The open road was his sanctuary, and he relished every moment spent cruising down the highway. In addition to his love for motorcycles, Wayne was a pillar of strength for his family and friends. He had an incredible ability to listen, empathize, and offer steadfast support to those in need.
A man of great organization, Wayne was known for his notes. He had a special one for every task, appointment, or idea that crossed his mind. His notes were not just reminders; they were a testament to his meticulous approach to life.
While Wayne's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his memory will forever be etched in our hearts. His legacy lives on through the love he shared, the friendships he forged, and the kindness he extended to all. He leaves behind a family that is profoundly grateful for the time they shared with him and friends who will forever cherish the moments of laughter and camaraderie.
Wayne is survived by his mother Lois Sinkie, daughters Kimberly Crowley and Sarah Sinkie, fiancé Susan Bickner, brothers Chuck and Lynn, Jim and JoAnn, Steve and Roxanne, and Larry Sinkie and a wide circle of friends and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
