Wayne's obituary

Wayne Martell Hubbard, 72, of Myrtle Beach SC, passed away peacefully at home on February 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Wayne was born on April 19, 1951, in Middletown, CT to the late Raymond E. Hubbard Jr. and Rosemarie (Cynoske) Hubbard.  

He leaves his beloved daughter, Kelly and husband Steven Barratiere, his grandchildren, Brylee and Conor of Galivants Ferry, SC. He was predeceased by his precious grandson, Murphy Wayne. 

He also leaves his brother, Raymond E. Hubbard III, his sister, Leslie and husband Keith Johnson, his nephews, Derek Johnson of Middletown, Trevor and Ashley Johnson and family of Cromwell, CT. He was a cherished Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and loyal friend to so many.

Wayne was a graduate of Xavier High School, class of 1969. He also studied at Middlesex Community College in Middletown.

He worked at the Middlesex Memorial Hospital for many years before working for the US Postal Service in Durham for 34 years before retiring. 

Let's remember Wayne not with sorrow but with the joy he brought into our lives. His legacy will forever live on in our hearts.

A Celebration of his Life will be held March 22nd at 2:00 pm at Falcon Grove, 144 Prout Hill Rd in Middletown, CT
