Wayne Thomas Hill, also known as Ajax, exchanged time for eternity Thursday afternoon, December 22, 2022, at VCU medical center. Wayne, son of the late Thomas Berkley Hill and Virgie Lee Gaines, was born on November 3, 1959. He attended Essex High School in Tappahannock Virginia. He enjoyed doing construction work, but his passion has always been music. He loved to play in his band “Just Us”. 

Preceding Wayne in death, were his parents, Thomas Berkley Hill and Virgie Lee Gaines, brothers William Roger, James Hill & Bradley Gaines. 

He leaves to cherish fond memories of him, his beloved Vanessa Taylor, 4 sisters, Brend Hill (Richmond, Va), Connie King (Colonial Heights, VA), Patricia Ann Hill (Richmond, VA) & Linda Michelle Gaines (Richmond, VA), 2 brothers Ray Hill & David Gaines, 2 nieces & 13 Nephews and a host of great nieces & nephews.
