Waymond's obituary

Waymond was born August 20, 1955 to Jeffrey and Katy in Wyoming. He was the first son and immediate family include sister Susan, brothers Simon and Clement, brother-in-law Joey, sister-in-law Annette, nephew of Betty, uncle of Ryan and Alex, Anise and Autumn, first cousins Lana and Anna, half brother of Jo Anne.

On Friday December 18, our beloved Waymond was called by God and now is in heaven and resting in eternal peace. We will all miss him very much.

Waymond was smart, loving, kind, and supportive. Without question, he was always ready to help family and friends. The first of the siblings to leave the SF bay area, he graduated from UCLA with a political science degree and then earned his JD law degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. He studied and worked hard for his accomplishments- we all admired that of him.

We’re sad and heartbroken that Waymond left us so soon. We’re comforted that he no longer has to endure the pain and physical challenges he had to go through every day.

Waymond loved sports and back in the glory days, we’d hoop it up playing basketball in his backyard. He loved his Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Lakers. This past season was a banner year as both teams were the world champions. The chances of a city winning championships in different sports in the same year are slim to none but Waymond was so happy he got to see that happen.

He will be remembered for his passion for law. He worked for law firms early in his career but found that having his own practice in family law was his calling. I’m sure he counseled many of us at one time or another.

While Waymond had family and friends that he loved, he loved his dogs. Dusty, Scotti, Buster, Sassy, Kapone and Ginger His four legged furry friends gave Waymond much happiness.

Waymond had a big smile and laugh. That’s one thing we'll remember him by. We'll remember and honor him by thinking of him when we see a smile. When we hear laughter. That’s how we will keep his spirit alive.

We’re all on God’s earth with purpose. We have different purposes throughout the different times in our life. One of Waymond’s purpose was to bring us our family together. He tried to handle family matters and situations and he really tried to keep the waters calm during stormy weather. We will do our best to honor him by continuing to support his purpose.

To Waymond, we're grateful and thank God that you were a part of our family. We've said love you but didn’t say it nearly enough. Rest in eternal peace. We love you.
