My condolences to the family, I just found this news. I was Waymond neighbor, he was a wonderful person. Waymond was always there if we needed a helping hand either labor or legal advise. This is very saddened news to the Rivera family.

Waymond was one of my dearest friends. We met in high school and remained friends forever. I am so saddened to learn of his passing.
Waymond was kind, generous and loved his family. We saw each other intermittently to share dinners and stories of what we were experiencing in our lives. I loved my friend Waymond for the compassionate man that he was. He will be greatly missed by all. My heart aches with the knowledge of his loss.

I worked for Waymond at Jacoby and Meyers in Canoga Park. He came to my first wedding. He handled my divorce and my current husbands divorce. I am so grateful I was able to see him and rekindle our friendship starting when my mom got sick with cancer. He was always available to me for legal advice. I would not have made it through the muddy waters of my moms death without him.

I have so many memories of Waymond, I wouldn't even know where to begin. My first memory was when he started to work as the managing attorney at Jacoby and Meyers. For weeks he would hardly talk to us. Then all the sudden one day he comes out and asks what are you doing this weekend? Naturally I was suspicious that he wanted me to work over the weekend. I realized this was Waymond, always reserved until he could assess you properly.

He was always frugal in the office, I would tease him constantly. Then he would surprise us with such generous gifts for Secretarys day. When I got married for my bridal shower he sent Donna with giant Zucchini from his yard and a crystal ashtray that had a post it that said please keep me clean.

I will miss his great giggle and the fact that he could never actually merge Lawyer Waymond with Friend Waymond. He would almost have to have 2 separate phone calls. One with Legal advice then the next with fun banter.

I am devastated by this news, tears continue to flow for a lost dear friend.

My condolences to the family. I know what he meant to you all and what you meant to him.

I first met Waymond when he became an attorney with Jacoby & Meyers in the mid 80's.
He was a wonderful friend. In 2014, he handled my divorce. I moved to Las Vegas and he moved to San Francisco to be with his beloved father and family. We had texted in early December of last year. I knew when I hadn't heard from him the rest of December that something terrible had happened. I tried to locate one of his brothers to ask what had happened to him. I wasn't successful. I put off looking for an obituary as I didn't want to find one. I was hoping he was just ill. I'm terribly sorry to learn the truth. The world lost a kind and gentle man.
May he rest in peace.
