Wayd W. Wolgemuth, 63, of Mount Joy, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late C. Arthur and Amanda (Kraybill) Wolgemuth. Wayd was the long time companion of Lu Ann Fahndrich. Also surviving are six children, Jim Grandi (Courtney) of Hummelstown, Lana Washburn (Mike) of Camp Hill, Courtney Erroa (Nefta) of Kennett Square, PA, Madison Stamp (Zack) of Mountville, Nick Fahndrich (Lili Mckeown Drialo) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kalee Fahndrich ( Brandon Liu) of Wynnewood, PA; five grandchildren; two sisters, Dr. Debra Wolgemuth Jarashow (Richard) of New York City, and Roxlyn Sarroff, (Kenneth) of Lancaster; two brothers, Kent Wolgemuth, (Elizabeth) of New York City and Todd Wolgemuth of Mount Joy; and many nieces and nephews.

Wayd was a graduate of Donegal High School class of 1979. He was a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley for over 35 years. An avid outdoorsman, Wayd enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and riding the ATV around Northern PA. He especially loved hosting his family and friends at his cabin in Waterville, PA. There were no strangers to Wayd-only friends he hadn’t met yet.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kirk Wolgemuth.

A celebration of life service will be held at Melhorn Manor, 977 W Main St, Mount Joy, PA 17552 on Saturday, February 1, 2024 at 2 PM. Family and friends will be received at Melhorn Manor following the service. A second service in Waterville, PA will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Creek Preservation Association, pinecreekpcpa.org.
