Warren G. Howie

Riverton- Warren G. Howie, 78, of Riverton died Sunday July 6, 2025, at Country Lane Memory Care in Riverton.

He was born Sept 22, 1946, in Red Bud Illinois, the son of Silas Howie and Ruby Howie. He married Sarah Howie in 1970 in Springfield.

Mr. Howie served in the Illinois National Guard.  He worked for Storage Technology and also the State of Illinois.

Warren was a man known for his generosity of spirit and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His sense of humor and graciousness in the face of adversity.  He never knew a stranger and was kind to everyone.

Survivors: wife Sarah Howie, son Michael (wife, Jennifer) Howie of Chatham and daughter Misti Howie of Riverton; brothers Byron (wife, Pat) and Kevin (wife, Caren) Howie, both of Springfield; 3 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Silas Howie; mother Ruby Howie; and sister Karen Howie.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
