Warren's obituary
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Warren "Buddy" Soulier. Born on September 15, 1941, Buddy lived an impactful life until his death on August 22, 2024.
Love for family was the cornerstone of Buddy's life. Despite the devastating loss of his beloved wife Barbara Soulier (nee Kersten), Buddy continued to be a pillar of strength to his surviving family members. They include his ever-supportive daughter Mary Zuber and her husband, Buddy's cherished son-in-law, Arty Zuber. He was a proud grandfather to Megan and Austin Zuber, with whom he shared many memorable moments. Buddy was a valued sibling to his brothers, Francis and Walter (Gail) Soulier, and his sisters, Kay Gamble and Marian (Royce) Reit. He was predeceased by his sister Harriet (nee Soulier) Stoffel and brother Donald LaPointe.
Awarding Buddy the title of #1 Racing fan would not be an exaggeration. Off the track, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, which included cheering on the Packers and watching The Andy Griffith Show or old westerns, and relishing fruit pies with a cup of coffee. His love for his family was unmatched, and this was reflected in the causes he cared about most. Known for his quiet but gentle nature, Buddy was always keen to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and neighbors. He enjoyed living with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren since 2007, creating heartfelt memories.
Graduating from Ashland High School, WI, in 1959, Buddy embarked on a fulfilling career at Rexnord/Nordburg Mfg in 1962. His hard work and dedication were admired and will be remembered by many. He worked there for 40 years!
