I am truly saddened to hear of your loss. I pray that the family heals through this sad time.

Wanna, 40 years of knowing you reminds me of your laugh and love. You gave of yourself every single day and have enriched the lives of a multitude. You live on in every memory shared, all those experiences, the people you saved. To your family, the Shields family is sad to hear she is gone from this plane and happy to know Wanna is with God now. The tears will eventually abate, but our love for her will never fade.

I was so sorry to hear about Aunt Wanna's passing. My family’s thoughts and prayers are with Uncle Reed, Daryl, and Dennis. She was such an outgoing person and will be missed greatly.

A Colorado visitor - Wanna Wilson
1
My dad had posted an ad in the Idaho Daily Statesman newspaper for an item he wanted to sell. My wife Montian and I had recently returned home from Thailand and were staying in the basement while looking for work and a home.
The doorbell rang and my dad answered. A young man was looking to buy the item, but was told it had already been sold. (This was before cell phones, Craigslist, the internet or Google).
He was disappointed as his wife was from Thailand and they really wanted it (wish I could remember what it was).
My dad perked right up saying my daughter-in-law is from Thailand. We all went outside to meet his young Thai bride and names were exchanged Reed and Pom "Wanna" Wilson met the Joe Wilson family. We're kinda like another branch of the Wilson family, related in name only.
Several months later I joined the army and began moving around but never lost track of Reed and Wanna. We ended up with two daughters and we all live in Colorado Springs. We've driven to Littleton a few times to do some shopping and stopped by to visit.
In 2010 Wanna visited with us for a few days and we will miss her smile, her phone calls and her Christmas cards in the mail.
