Waneta's obituary

Waneta Mae Thompson, age 90, of Frankenmuth, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025. She was born on August 9, 1934, in Watrousville, Michigan to the late Austin and Dorothy (Murdick) Stoddard.

She was preceded in death by her former husband Leo E. Grabitz, July 1992 and her husband Bob Thompson December 2008. Waneta enjoyed her Church, Church family, playing piano, shopping and dining out with friends.

She is survived by three children: Thomas Grabitz, Mark (Vicky) Grabitz, Kimberly Rudolph. Five grandchildren: Abby (Alex) Meyer, Tyler Grabitz, T.J. Gillespie, Jacob Rudolph and James (Claudia) Rudolph. Two great grandchildren: Kaitlyn Michelic and Jack Rudolph. One great great grandchild: Tanner Hefner. One sister: Gayle Baum. One sister-in-law: Shirley Stoddard. Special Daughter-in-law: Dawn Grabitz and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her brother Dwain Stoddard, and two sisters, Lee Grabitz and infant sister Ruthann Stoddard.
