Charline's obituary
October 14, 1950 – August 30, 2025
Waneta "Charline" Creager, age 74, was called home to be with Jesus on August 30, 2025.
Charline was born in Middletown, Ohio, to Verlin and Pauline Charles, and was raised in a close-knit family. She graduated from Carlisle High School and, at the age of 19, embraced her most cherished role as a mother to her daughter, Angela. Determined and hardworking, she went on to earn her degree as a key punch operator and built a successful career as a manager in the convenience store industry. Later in life, Charline remarried and faced many personal trials, including the loss of her second husband, with strength and resilience.
Charline had a lifelong passion for helping others. In her younger years, she volunteered as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, nurturing and guiding young girls. Throughout her life, she faithfully served in church ministries, giving her time and energy to children’s groups, unwed mothers, and the elderly. Her loving and generous spirit touched everyone she met.
A breast cancer survivor, Charline faced her diagnosis with grace, courage, and perseverance. Her strength inspired all who knew her.
In 2015, Charline relocated from Ohio to Georgia to be closer to her daughter, Angela, and her grandson, Parker. This move brought her great joy, as she treasured the opportunity to share in their lives and create lasting memories together.
In addition to her devotion to family and service, Charline found joy in creative pursuits, including crafting, painting, drawing, and sewing. Despite the challenges she faced, she remained kind-hearted and selfless, always ready to help others in need. Her unwavering faith in God was a constant source of comfort and guidance, and she shared that faith generously with all who crossed her path.
Charline was preceded in death by her parents, Verlin and Pauline Charles, her sister, and two brothers. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Angela, and grandson, Parker, along with many cherished family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
