She is predeceased by her son Robert "Mick" Sakowski, Jr of Hollywood, FL, her parents Drexel V Smith and Lena "Scoot" (Dodge) Smith of Grand Bay, AL and her brothers Drexel V Smith Jr, John D Smith, W Lewis Smith and G Dale Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Robert Sakowski, a son Steven Sakowski of The Woodlands, Texas, a daughter Samantha Amaral of town and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Buddy the rescued cat who has been a member of the family since 2003. Last but not least, her sweet Coco, a Shih Tsu that has been a part of our family for 8 years.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations can be made, in her name, to the ASPCA.
