Wanda's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Wanda "Nanny" Foston on December 27, 2021. Born on April 4, 1965, she was known to many as Nanny but preferred to be called Wanda. Her spirit of love, kindness, and joviality is survived in her grandchildren, Kyleigh Bilodeau, Lucas Robertson, Maverick Bilodeau, Layla Robertson, and her children, Jessica Bilodeau, Jason Bilodeau, and Christopher Foston.
Wanda leaves behind her step-father, Monty Pelletier, and her sister, Elaine Foston-Tizzard. She was predeceased by her mother, Bernice Pelletier; her father, Peter Foston; and her brother, Stanley Foston.
Wanda's world revolved around caring for her family, indulging in her favorite foods - especially Reeses with reeses pieces inside, and savoring a Coffee medium one milk. Her laughter was infectious, and her face lit up when she listened to her favorite music by Aaron Lewis. She was an avid viewer of the TV Show Friends and supported the Montreal Canadians with all her heart.
She found joy in simple pleasures - playing Yahtzee, taking leisurely walks, and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Wanda's favorite local spots were Tim Hortons and the Rocks for lunch, places she held near to her heart. The color Green had a special place in Wanda's life, symbolizing her love for nature and peace.
A charming character, Wanda was best described as easy-going, caring, funny, happy, and loving. Memories of going to the Rocks and having lunch with her will be cherished forever. She had a heart as vast as her favorite vacation spot, the Camp. Going on walks was her favorite way to unwind, her time to self-reflect, and her way to rejuvenate.
Wanda was a beacon of love and strength to her family and friends. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
