Growing up in Sicklerville brings back such great memories. One of the best was living on Pritchard Lane. It was there that I lived on the same block as my bestie Aisha. We were raised by two strong black single mothers who did their best to raise their children in a safe environment while maintaining single parent households in the 80s. I’m happy to have grown up with her in my life and always remember the words of wisdom she gave throughout the years in her straightforward, no nonsense way! 😍
We met Wanda at the Beckett family gatherings. Also we crossed paths when she worked at Avis Car Rentals. Always enjoyed her smile and personality.  Condolences to the family.

I met Wanda approximately 30 yrs ago at the first meeting/rehearsal for the WDAS choir. We sat near each other along with Jackie Newman. While chatting we found out that the three of us were from W.Philly and were all graduates of W. Philly High. Truly this was a divine appointment from God. We all bonded as sisters from that moment! Wanda was a beauty and a shining light. Rest In Peace my sister❤️
