Background
Carl battled Macular Degeneration for many years, the disease slowly took away his eyesight over time. Unfortunatley there is currently no cure, even if decected early. The American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF) is important because it funds research into the prevention, treatment, and cure of macular degeneration, advocates for increased federal funding, and provides vital educational resources and support to individuals and families affected by the disease. Your support helps these efforts by accelerating scientific discoveries and improving the quality of life for millions of people.
