Walter's obituary
Walt Whitehall passed away February 19, 2025. He is survived by his children, Lindsey, Evan, and Elliot, his siblings and in-laws Teri and Jerry, Troy and Grace, and Sue and Gary, his father, Gilbert, his grandmother, Norma, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Walt was a teacher and coach in Quincy and Cashmere, as well as a cherry farmer. He taught his kids to play guitar, read books at bedtime, and told stories that always began with, “it was a dark and stormy night, the moon was out and the wolves were howling….aahwwoooooo.” His imagination and creativity were ever present. One of his favorite books was Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach and he did, indeed, have a humble, loving heart and an appetite for new experiences. He could be seen long-boarding down canyon roads and taught himself to play the didgeridoo, among other things. He was so much more than can be expressed here. He touched many lives and is deeply missed.
