Walt had a beautiful soul, in the end all he wanted was peace

To all his friends and family, he will be missed and well remembered!

Walt was a great great guy! Always had a smile on his face and his gentle nature was always welcoming to me and my family ..we were competing in pole vaulting at the same time  from Quincy .. I’ll always remember being in chemistry and math classes with him in high school and he was also in sports so he never studied and I studied my brains out and he always did better than me on the tests!! But he never was a bragger and I appreciated that.. I just couldn’t figure out how he could do so well and not study! I have great memories of Walt and they’ll always be with me❤️

When I think of Walt, I think of track at CHS. I watched him coach many kids over the seasons. He would observe and help them tweak their pole vaulting techniques. He shared the excitement of the victories both big and small.
