It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter "Tommy" Ramsey, beloved son, father, grandfather, and uncle. Tommy was born on March 10, 1969, and left us too soon on June 7, 2025. A larger than life character, he was best known for his outgoing personality, kind heart, and his inherent pride.

Tommy is survived by his children, Abigail, Walter "TJ", and Allison Ramsey. He was a proud grandfather to Willow, Nathan "Nate" and Gerri Ramsey. His nieces and nephews, Lindsey Ramsey, Cambrin Reynolds, Julian, and Acaylia Castizo, and Logan Ramsey. Tommy is also survived by his parents, Walter and Barbara Ramsey, his sister Angela Ramsey, his daughter-in-law Jessica "Jess" Ramsey, and his ex-wife, Marcie Brumfield will keep him alive in their memories.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mary and Woodrow Ramsey, and Katherine and Thaddaeus Jacobs. His ex-partner, Dawn Morong, also preceded him in death.

Tommy was a man of many passions. Among other things, he loved coon hunting, an activity that brought him much joy and camaraderie. Above all, he deeply cared for his loved ones, always showing a kind heart and a generous spirit. This legacy of kindness and free spirit is what he leaves behind, ingrained in the hearts and minds of his children, grandchildren, and family members.

A memorial service for Tommy will be held on June 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Florence Avenue Baptist Church. All who knew him are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many lives.

May his kind-hearted spirit continue to inspire all who knew him, and may he rest in peace.
