Walter Roper Davis “Joe”, 91, passed away January 9, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was predeceased by his wife, Beulah DiMaria Davis and grandson, Jason Robert Davis “Gump”. He is survived by sons Robert (Patty) Davis and William (Jackie) Davis, granddaughters Jennifer Davis, Miranda (Dane) Conway, Jessica Davis, great-granddaughters Lilah and Ella Davis, brother Jack Davis, and sister Martha Hobbs Whitfield. Visitation is Tuesday, January 15 from 12 pm to 1 pm and funeral service begins at 1 pm at Buford Grove Baptist Church in Hilliard, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
