The stars seemed to align in the universe during my dad's time on Earth. The stories that occurred and the shenanigans he was involved with couldn't be replicated now. For every story told, there are another 5 that are collecting dust. We'd love to hear your stories or memories from my dad's time as coach or teacher.

Update from Feb. 15, 2026

As a teacher, he would recount the occasional eraser he backhanded toward unsuspecting, misbehaving student. There was also the time a student fell asleep in class, only to wake up 2 periods later and make a quick dash out of class. Or the sleeping student whose picture ended up in the yearbook.

Ron Richison passed away in the early morning of January 29, 2026 at his home in Pleasant Hill at the age of 87. He lived, what he said many times, a really good life.
