Walter (Joe)'s obituary

It is with great sadness that our family announces the death of Walter (Joe) Joseph Percy Draper. He passed away peacefully at the Dryden Regional Health Centre August 10th, 2020. Born August 6th, 1942. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years Claire Champagne from Dryden, Ontario, his step-son, Philip Lavoie, from Bamfield BC, and his step-daughter Élaine Lavoie (Steve) also from Dryden. He will be missed by his two grandsons Christian and Éric.
He is survived by his sister Doreen Northey from Parry Sound and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was a quiet and thoughtful individual. He was passionate about about science, history, ancestry, computers and fishing. He loved to read and garden.
Joe was born in Toronto and raise in Mactier (close to Parry Sound). He spent much of his life in Orillia and Waubaushene. His final few years found him in Dryden, Ontario where he enjoyed a quiet life.
