Dear Jane and Trey, it is never easy to lose someone we love,  especially a father, so young.  May the memories and love of family and friends bring comfort to your hearts.  My heart is with you both as you navigate life without Walter, a caring and fun loving person.   Blessings, Terri

I was so sorry to hear about Walter's passing. He was such a wonderful, kind and funny man. I met him years ago and used to give him rats for his sons' snakes. He was always so nice and always asked me how my day was and how I was whenever I saw him. He let me know his door was open to me whenever I needed it and I will be forever grateful to have known him.

Walter was the kindest person to me and I forever cherish him. I’ve known him for years and he always had a bright sense of humor and an inviting personality. When I was down on my luck he let me stay at his house until I could find a place of my own. I will never forget him opening his home to me, he was a selfless soul. I also worked with Walter at best western and every time I came to clock in I looked forward to his smile as we would just bellow each others names down the hallways when we saw each other and then he would always give me a big hug. He is one of my favorite adult figures who brought some happiness in my life every time I saw him around town. I wish I could give him one last hug and call his name across the work hallway one last time. I’m glad I have those memories to cherish.

He always welcomed me in his house with open arms. Always offered me a plate at his table and will always be remembered by me. I miss you Walter, Fly high.
