Walter was brilliant in very different ways than others. One day I was discussing how the neighborhood was getting too crowded and had lost the peace that I had moved there for. Walter told me a story about a study they had done back in school with fruit flies. Their life cycle is so quick they make good subjects. The flies were kept in a 10 gallon aquarium with a screen cover. Given plenty of food, water, and fresh air. They started to reproduce. At some point they got so crowded that chaos set in and they all died. Even though they still had everything they needed to live. Guess we all need a little space. He had many stories of life wisdom's. What's important and what's not. I think of him often and pass on his stories to family and friends. Never forgotten. Art Dunlap
