An adventurer at heart but devoted to his wife and family, Walter George Hunt was a curious but stubborn man who worked hard, played hard and left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He passed away on August 4th, 2019 at 65 years old. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth Hunt and Marguerite Brunson Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Donna Cash Hunt; their five children: Christopher Hunt, Sara Higginbotham (Daniel), Lisa Hoffman (Kevin), Adam Hunt, and Laura Sheedy (James); 13 grandchildren: Taylor Hunt, Chris Hunt, Elizabeth Yates, Destiny Ivey, Makenzie Marsh, Sutton Higginbotham, Ryan Hoffman, Diana Bigner, Ashley Higginbotham, Adam Hunt, Delva Sheedy, Debbie Hoffman, and Addison Hunt, as well as his siblings: Mary Holcomb (Kevin), Stephen Hunt (Patricia), and John Hunt, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 54; 626 South 3rd Street, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034
