Wade's obituary
Wade Edward Oelke, a beloved member of the Emporia community, passed away on Friday, April 28th, at the age of 41. Wade was born on February 19th, 1982, in Emporia, Kansas, where he lived his entire life. He was the son of William Oelke and Genevieve Oelke (Williams). Wade was homeschooled the years following his time at Emporia Christian school and attended Emporia State University, in computer science.
Despite facing challenges with his health, Wade was a passionate learner and computer expert. He enjoyed gaming, spending time with loved ones, and listening to music. He was always eager to share his knowledge with others and to help his friends whenever possible. Wade's cognizant and scholarly nature extended beyond his circle of loved ones and was evident in his interactions with strangers, whom he left with a curiosity for more.
Wade was a devoted son who took care of his parents in their later years until they passed away. Following his parents death, Dustin and Danielle Allen, with their children, Jayd, Thoryian, and Zenyiah became the family Wade would also love and cherish. Once love found him in the form of his girlfriend Tammie Williams, Wade was complete. Tammie brought joy and happiness into his life, and he cherished their time together. Wade is survived by his brother Brett Oelke and sister Renee Pinder, as well as his uncle's Louis Oelke and wife Debra, Bruce Oelke and wife Gloria, his aunt Linda Schoenthaler and husband,Kenny, several nieces, nephews, and was one of many cousins.
Wade's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his intelligence, kindness, and selflessness. Rest in peace, Wade Edward Oelke, you will be dearly missed.
