Vladimir Reinhold Shmunk passed away after a long battle with cancer in the early hours of Monday, October 5th in his home in Vancouver, Washington. He spent his final days and hours with his wife, children, grandchildren, and close family and friends. He was a warm, remarkable man who will be dearly missed. We are thankful that he is now pain-free and at peace in the arms of Jesus, the Savior he loved so dearly and served so fervently all of his life. He leaves a legacy of faith, family commitment and perseverance until the end. His final words, which he repeated to his loved ones often when saying his goodbyes: "I will be waiting for all of you in Heaven." (2 Cor. 5:1-8)
