Vivian's obituary
We mourn the loss of Vivian Peevy, a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was born on November 3, 1955 in Wharton, Texas and passed away on July 29, 2025.
Vivian was a cherished mother, sister, and grandmother; loved deeply by her daughters, Kimberly Samoyedny, Kristen Peevy, Karen Peevy; her son, Kenneth Peevy; Her love and laughter will live on in her grandchildren, Richard Calvin Samoyedny, Elizabeth Samoyedny, Caleb Peevy, Abigail Peevy, Alex Prins, and Christian Harig-Peevy. She was also survived by her siblings Cheryl O'Mallen, Pamela Blaylock, Mary Blaylock, Calvin Travis Argo Jr., Sheila McDougall, and Vanessa Zahn. She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Travis Argo Sr. and her mother, Dorothy Lee Argo.
Her determination, sass, humor, and helpfulness brought joy and inspiration to all who knew her. Vivian's love for life was clear in her love for coffee, Dr. Pepper, cooking, fishing, and looking for rocks and arrowheads. A woman who enjoyed the simplicity of walking, her energy was contagious. A nurturer at heart, she taught us the invaluable lessons of kindness, love, and compassion.
Vivian's greatest accomplishment was her children, who will carry on her legacy. She was renowned for her yeast rolls—no one could make them quite like her. This is part of her legacy, a testament to her unwavering love and care for her family.
Vivian will be dearly missed. Even though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted in knowing that she is home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As we remember Vivian, we honor her memory by practicing the kindness, love, and compassion she so frequently demonstrated. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and through the stories that remain.
