It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my mother, Vivian Ann Holmes. She passed away peacefully on March 13 2026, at the age of 72, surrounded by her loving daughter and granddaughters Lashandrea and Deandrea at Hillendale Decatur Hospital of Lithonia GA.

My mother struggled with lung disease for many years not letting the disease take the best of her.

She was our constant guide and a source of comfort, humor, and unconditional love. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was full of joy and truly lived her life to the fullest. Being the life of the party and center attention at all family gatherings she will truly be missed.

Retired from North Florida Treatment Center with a background of food dietitian. My mother was very loved. She leaves behind her daughter Crystal Holmes( deceased), Deborah Holmes, God-daughter Shavon Chisolm. Aunt Altemes Ponder Davis , Brothers Charles Davis and Brian Davis. Granddaughters Sydney McBride, Deandrea Mitchell, Lashandrea Mitchell. Grandsons, Dalvin Smith , Calvin Smith, Dalrick Fleming, Donte Fleming, Lucious Mitchell and Willie Hill. Great Grand Children, Kayce Mitchell, Kyrell Bankhead, Jasmin Freeman, Jamari Kirksey, Jhanelle Kirksey, Carter Smith, Janovia Smith, Amonte Smith, Zakai Hill, Niyah Hill , Honesty and Patience Fleming. Also many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She requested to be cremated and for her ashes to be sprinkled in the ocean in Miami, Florida. To celebrate her life, she also asked that her closest loved ones go on a cruise together afterward to honor her memory.

We will be granting her wishes exactly as she requested.
