Vivian's obituary
Vivian Marie Bernhard passed away April 6, 2022, at 87 years old from complications of dementia.
Vivian was born in White Sulphur Springs, Montana on April 5, 1935, growing up in Montana and Oregon. She graduated from Waldport High School, Oregon in 1953. Vivian met Wayne while they were neighbors in Montana.
Vivian married Wayne Bernhard on June 23, 1954 in Yachats, Oregon. They lived in Montana where Aaron was born, before moving to the Bremerton, WA area in 1957. They raised four children while living in Brownsville, WA, moving to Seabeck, WA in 1990.
Vivian worked for the Central Kitsap School District as a playground supervisor and as a Title 1 Aide. She was a long time Mary Kay Consultant and Master Gardener. She loved gardening, camping, cooking, sewing, crocheting, crafts and spending time with family. Vivian enjoyed swimming with her “pool gals”, lunches with her Red Hat ladies and playing cards with Travel n Fun members. Vivian was the treasurer for Lewis & Clark Chapter of FMCA. Her and Wayne joined as members in 1987 attending rallies and enjoying all the activities. She was a friend to many, always willing to help others and loved to socialize.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Wayne Bernhard of 67 years, sisters Joan Schultz of Eugene OR and Lois Hunter of White Sulphur Springs, MT. She is survived by her sons: Aaron Bernhard (Anita) and Barney Bernhard (Sunghwan); daughters: Debra Logan (Byron) and Connie Muggli (Richard). Survived by grandchildren: Chris Williamson, Jeff Bernhard, Seth Pecoy, Jamie Barnett, Kyle Pecoy, Danielle Wren, Karin Muggli, Sangyoon Back and Dylan Logan. She enjoyed being surrounded by her 9 great grandchildren.
A private gathering of family and friends will be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
