Virginia Dawn Wright Blanton, 82, of Grand Junction, CO passed away peacefully on February 21st, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Virginia grew up in Grand Junction, a town she loved and never left. She worked at City Market for nearly 40 years and enjoyed traveling and cruising in her spare time. Virginia will be dearly missed and always remembered. Virginia was predeceased by her mother and father, Nancy & Allen Wright and her elder sister, Gail Wright Turner. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Zachary Blanton, three children, including a son, Zach Blanton, a daughter, Traycee Blanton Wilson (Will) an estranged daughter, Roxy Blanton, grandchildren, Rodney Blanton (Rebecca) of Glendale, CA, Randall Blanton (Regina) of Denver, CO, ZJ Blanton (Yazmyn) of Valdosta GA, Zadine Blanton Hall (Tylen), Alizabeth Wilson Walker (Andrew), Aaron Wilson, Amber Wilson, all of Grand Junction and 10 great grandchildren. Virginia requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Virginia’s loved one to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Crossroads United Methodist Church on February 24th, at 1pm. A burial service at Elmwood Cemetery will follow.
