VIRGINIA M. VAN BAVEL, 82, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at home. She was born in Mechanicsville, NY, and resided in Coconut Creek, FL, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 6 years ago.

Prior to her retirement Virginia was employed with Telecom Analysis Systems. More recently she was employed with Wynmoor Village, Coconut Creek, FL, where she worked at the golf center and movie theatre.

Virginia enjoyed bowling, walking on the beach, spending time with her family and friends, and most of all, loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her 4 sons, John Van Bavel and his wife, Cheryl of Jackson Twp., NJ, David Van Bavel and Jenny Shepherd of Lakehurst, NJ, Scott Van Bavel and his wife, Cyndie of Jasper, TN, and Jimmy Van Bavel and his wife, Michelle of Coconut Creek, FL; her 8 grandchildren; and by her 15 great grandchildren.

Arrangements for Virginia are private at the convenience of the family and under the care of the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp., NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Virginia’s memory to Ocean County Animal Shelter, 615 Freemont Ave, Jackson, NJ 08527 and would be greatly appreciated.
