Virginia's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Silveria-Jefferson, a woman of unparalleled strength and love. Born on November 19, 1938, Virginia embraced life with a warm heart and a generous spirit until her peaceful passing on March 14, 2024.

A woman of simple pleasures, Virginia found joy in the world around her. She cherished the sky's brilliant blue and yellow roses' warm glow. Her ears delighted in the melodious tunes of Andrea Bocelli, Engelbert Humperdinck, and Josh Groban, and she significantly cherished the vocal performances of her granddaughter, Isabella Pacheco.

Virginia found solace and wisdom in reading The Bible and enjoyed Danielle Steele's and James Patterson's novels. She loved the ocean, gardening, sketching, reading, and taking long walks with her loyal companion, Lucy.

Described by those who knew her as caring, witty, and down to earth, Virginia lived by the golden rule, always treating others as she would like to be treated. This spirit of kindness and empathy shines brightly in her greatest accomplishments - raising her three children and being a caring presence in the lives of others. For decades, Virginia was a licensed daycare provider and in retirement, served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Children.

Virginia's favorite television shows, Survivor, The Price Is Right, and Jeopardy, mirrored her own strength, humor, and intellect. These traits, combined with her loving nature, created a legacy of strength and unconditional love that will be remembered always.

Virginia Silveria-Jefferson will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will continue to shine in the lives she touched, in the gardens she loved, and in the pages of the books she cherished. As we mourn her loss, let us honor her memory by embodying the wisdom she so gracefully imparted: to live by the Golden Rule.

Virginia is survived by her three children, Ray Silveria (Jennifer), Ron Silveria, and Julie Pacheco. Step-son Gary W. Jefferson (Katie), step-daughter Lynn Warner (Mark) and daughter-in-law Sheila Jefferson. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren Michael Silveria (Alejandra), Ronnie Silveria, Saybra Silveria, Annika Silveria, Isabella Pacheco, Gary  D. Jefferson, John Jefferson,  Brad Warner (Courtney), Steven Warner (Kendee), Desiree Warner, Kyle Warner, William Jefferson, Aaron Jefferson (Sarah), Elisia Cortez Scott (Michael), and great-grandchildren Mason, Zoey and Amelia Warner, Antonio Cortez, Ashton Buchanan, and Marvin Miller, Jr.

She was predeceased by her first husband Franklin Silveria, second husband Don Jefferson, son-in-law Eric Pacheco and step-son David Jefferson.
