Virginia Louise Sellars, 86 of Kearney, Missouri passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at her home Friday evening, September 15, 2023. Virginia was born the only daughter of Gilbert and Jennie (McNair) Sollars on August 16, 1937 In St. Joseph, Missouri. She was a 1954 graduate of Lafayette High School. She worked the majority of her working years as a secretary for International Paper. Virginia was a longtime member of Northland Christian Church. Her love of Christ was immeasurable. She truly was Christ’s hands and feet as she would load up all the neighborhood kids to head to church. Many attribute Virginia as the reason they are saved and have a relationship with the Lord. Virginia could be heard rocking the church piano with pure joy. No one could play the piano with as much zest and love for the Lord as she could. She served as the church pianist for the majority of the years she attended Northland Christian Church. Virginia was Mother to 7 and Grandma to 37. She is preceded in death by her parents, children; Gary, Sheila and Charlene; siblings; Jerry, George, David and Richard along with beloved grandchildren; Allison, Rylie and Stevie. She is loved and remembered by her children; Jack, Vickie, Carol and Darin along with 37 grandchildren, her brother, Jack Sollars, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of beloved friends.
