Virginia's obituary
Virginia was born January 24, 1938 in Columbia, South Carolina, the daughter of Joseph and Virginia (Riley) McCabe.
Virginia grew up in Columbia, and went on to an established art school in New York. After that she settled in Peoria, Illinois and married Stephen Anderson in 1960. She was remarried to John Wood in 1968.
Virginia was an established artist in the Boulder community for the last 45 years, and also had musical talent. She left behind many pieces of art including landscapes, people and abstracts in all forms of oil, acrylic, pencil, chalk and relief paper prints.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Stephen and parents Joseph and Virginia.
Virginia is survived by her loving family; son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Suzanne Anderson; grandchildren Alexander, Brady and Carter Anderson, all living in the Minneapolis area. She is also survived by brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Beverly MaCabe, living in North Carolina; nephew and neice-in-law Kyle and Karen McCabe from New York; and great nephew Alec.
