Virginia (Ginny)'s obituary
Virginia loved all animals, and supported dogs and cats most of her life, from Great Danes to cats, to raccoons. Virginia and her husband enjoyed boating, starting with a 21' cabin cruiser that they built in their yard in Chicago in the early 1950's. They then went on to 26' Owens cruiser in the 60's, and a 39' that they purchased after moving to Florida in 1977. They also traveled and took many cruises from the Caribbean to Tahiti, to Hawaii, Europe, South America, Mexico, and Hong Kong. They enjoyed hosting parties for family and friends alike, almost every weekend.
Virginia comes from strong stock. Her family had an extreme case of longevity, with ages of her mother Alma Schroeder (94)(father Roy Schroeder (84), 5 aunts, Meta Clausen (82), Clara Lundin (88), Anna Johnsen (94), Gertrude McNaught-Odlum (96), Mildred Woods (99), and 1 uncle, Paul (70) years of age at time of death. Virginia had a good life until her last 3 years, but even then she always had a smile on her face. God bless her. Virginia and her husband Jack have been cremated, and they requested a private simultaneous burial at sea.
