Virginia's obituary

In loving memory of Virginia Emerson Sapp, January 1960 – October 2022 of Woodstown, NJ formally of Elmer for many years  age 62 years.

Ginny was known as so many things – our Cheerleader, our Gin-Gin, our Skinny – Ginny, the Little Big-Sister, Mrs. Sapp, Coach Sapp. Yet her most beloved names were Mom and Nana!

Ginny is survived by her children, Joshua Sapp (Diana Sapp), Theresa Sapp Barton (Dan Barton), Michael Sapp. Nana to RJ Hopkins, Tyler Hopkins, Dylan Hopkins, Liam Barton, Selena Sapp, Ryan Sapp, Julianna Sapp, Noah Sapp, Mariah Billips. Pre-deceased by her angels Brandon Taylor Sapp and Cooper Daniel Barton.

Daughter to Alice Scout Emerson Horay (pre-deceased) and Ralph Lewis Emerson, Sr. (pre-deceased). 

Niece to Fred Reighn (Sheila Reighn) and Joe Reighn (predeceased) Sibling to John Emerson, Sr. (pre-deceased), Survived by Ralph Emerson, Jr.(Denise Emerson) Dawn Emerson, Emily Emerson DeMore, Stacy Emerson Dill (Jeffery Dill), Alice Emerson, Wendy Emerson Hinch

Godmother to Christine DeMore, New Jersey and Tanya Suzanne Emerson, New Hampshire.

Also survived by many step siblings, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews that love her for always being so loving and so much fun!

Much of her life was spent in the great State of TEXAS! She was proud of her Southern ways and cooking but she will always be our “Jersey Ginny”.

Private Services and Celebration of Life will be held at The Estate at Monroe, Monroe NJ on December 2, 2022.
