A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Virgil served his country with honor and distinction. As a devout man of God, he was a regular attendee of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, where he found solace and community. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Daniel and John “Jack” Hoppe, whose memories he cherished deeply. Virgil is survived by his son Sean, daughter-in-law Callie, and many grandchildren: Jessica, Erin, Allison, Jamie, Erin, Shelly, John, and Jeremiah, as well as numerous great-grandchildren who brought joy and laughter into his life. Virgil's family was his pride and joy, and he took great pleasure in watching them grow and thrive. Throughout his life, Virgil was known for his kindness, integrity, and unwavering faith. He was a man who valued hard work and honesty, traits that he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
