Virgil's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Virgil "Virg" Jaynes, a beloved husband, brother, and uncle. Virgil Jaynes was born on March 19, 1952, and passed away on January 13, 2025. He was a man of great humor and heart, and his legacy of kindness and care continues to live on.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Roberta Jaynes, his niece Wanda Hale, and his sister Belinda Krotzer, as well as many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. His love and respect for his family were profound, and his care for them defined a considerable part of his life.
Virgil was predeceased by his parents, Lucille and Arthur Jaynes, his siblings Barbara, Jim, Charles and Jerry Jaynes, and his nephew Patrick Jaynes. Their memories were always held dear to his heart.
Throughout his life, Virgil was best described as a jokester. His contagious laugh and love for life were infectious. One of his valuable lessons to us all was not to take life too seriously - a motto he lived by and proved with his jovial personality.
Virgil grew up Troy, Michigan where he lived with wife, parents, and sister Barbara on Daley St. Many fond memories were made in that house which was often filled with cousins and other family members coming by to visit and have a home cooked meal. Virgil and Roberta unfolded their love story in 1973 when they got married. This marriage was one of his greatest accomplishments - a lifelong commitment that he cherished deeply. They later moved to Rochester Hills, MI in 2003, where they created many happy memories together.
A memorial service in honor of Virgil will be held on January 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at 316 Baldwin Ave in Pontiac. This service will pay tribute to his life and the joy he brought into ours. Virgil's wisdom, kindness, laughter, and love will remain in our hearts forever. His passing is a significant loss, but his legacy of 'being kind and taking care of each other' will continue to guide us.
