I met “ Sam” around 1981-82, you were a small boy and I had a son close to your age . This was in the days of the ranch on Ortega Hwy. the ranch was called “ Blue Heaven “ on Tenaja Truck Trail . I never ever forgot her. She was SPECTACULAR in every way .
I finally put all the pieces together and I have fairly good idea of all the snippets she told me about herself and Steve and your mom’s parents . I feel compelled to write about it .
My name is Janie Butler and I live in Laguna Beach . She had other friends who were equally aware of her beauty , charm and intellect . But I truly loved her for the short time I knew her

My most heartfelt condolences for Violet - who I sat next to at the Ritz Carlton lunch for Sharrissa Iqbal earlier this year. I was a close friend of Bettina Brendel, Waylynn's grandmother and would like to honor the family by attending. I live in Malibu Canyon in the LA area and my wonderful granddaughter Katherine wil drive me to Palm Springs for the Memorial. Thank you from Lena Torslow Hansen and Katherine Hall

I did not know Violet well, but what I did know left a strong impression—she was a lovely woman with remarkable courage and determination. I was truly saddened by her passing.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know Violet from Park City - we have a mutual friend and when she moved to Rancho Mirage, she called. Your mom was so happy here - she had made lots of friends and seemed to be thriving. She will be missed. Sending love

All we can ever hope for while we walk this planet, is the opportunity to make a difference to another person. A Heart Print, as I like to think of it. Violet left her imprint on my heart. Meeting her changed the trajectory of my career into my life purpose. I will always remember her infectious laugh, her love of classic rock and roll, which she would say “louder is better”, Winston “the pee wonder”, memories of shopping and great food…..
I will think of her often and always be grateful our paths crossed!

My condolences to Violet's family. I first met Violet when she asked for my support on her healing journey. She was committed to her healing, her recovery and her connection with her family.
