I was so saddened to learn of Vincent’s passing. We first met in 7th grade at Laclede and later attended Soldan together for a while. We kept in touch a bit when he was stationed in Texas. I remember him as funny, kind, and genuinely good-hearted — someone I liked and admired a lot.

I ran into him once while visiting family in our old neighborhood, and he was still the same warm, funny guy I remembered — that was over 40 years ago. I had heard that he later moved to Chicago, and it made me smile to know he found happiness there.
